Suzuki Motor Corporation (TYO: 7269) announced that its street motorcycles, the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT, have won the Red Dot Award in the Product Design category of the Red Dot Design Award in Germany.
The Red Dot Design Award, organized by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, is an internationally recognized design competition established in 1955. The award evaluates products across a wide range of industries, including furniture, home appliances, automobiles, medical equipment and information technology.
The GSX-8T and GSX-8TT received recognition for their modern neo-retro design, which combines classic Suzuki visual elements with a clearly structured contemporary aesthetic. The award marks the first time a Suzuki product has received a Red Dot Award.
“We are honored that the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT have received the prestigious Red Dot Award,” said Takashi Ise, managing officer and executive general manager of Motorcycle Operations at Suzuki. “Both models are neo-retro street bikes that combine the unique and attractive elements of Suzuki’s past iconic models with modern performance. Designed to suit a wide range of riding situations, from everyday use to touring, they offer enjoyment to customers across diverse lifestyles.”
Ise added that Suzuki will continue to develop products aligned with its corporate slogan, “By Your Side,” while focusing on performance and design that meet customer needs.
The GSX-8T and GSX-8TT are part of Suzuki’s street motorcycle lineup and reflect the company’s continued focus on combining riding performance, usability and distinctive styling.
