Kekeli’s journey with the Miss US Nation Pageant began when she was selected to represent her city of Queens at the State pageant. Where she was selected to represent Miss Queens US Nation 2025. Her confidence and charisma quickly caught attention, propelling her deeper into the organization’s spotlight. Since then, she has continued to evolve within the Miss US Nation family — including taking on the exciting role of host at the Miss Swimsuit Beauty International US Nation Pageant, a glamorous event held aboard a Manhattan yacht by Boss Lady Cruises. This year, she’s preparing to take the stage once again, this time to represent
her state at the national pageant in Miami, Florida.
Kekeli’s love for modeling began about three years ago, inspired by her eldest sister. “I remember as a child watching her get all glammed up for her shoots and taking pictures,” she recalled. “It was something I loved to watch and really wanted to pursue. I loved the idea of being in the spotlight — it was something that I always gravitated to.” To her, the modeling industry is more than just style and aesthetics — it’s a celebration of individuality. “I believe the modeling industry is about breaking the norms and showing that beauty comes in all different shapes, sizes, and shades,” she said. “Nowadays, you see more plus-sized models, shorter models, darker-toned models — and I’m really proud of the direction the industry is moving.”
As Miss New York US Nation, Kekeli is leveraging her title to build meaningful relationships and strengthen her presence in the industry. “My plan is to network and build strong relationships with models, photographers, stylists, and casting directors,” she explained. “Collaborative shoots help create captivating art that shows emotion — and that’s how I’ll continue to build my brand, community, and exposure.”

While her future shines brightly in fashion, Kekeli’s vision extends into education and advocacy. Currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in psychology, she plans to create a wellness program for underprivileged youth — a safe space for them to decompress and prioritize their mental health. “We need community — to uplift, educate, build relationships, and create safety,” she emphasized. “It’s never okay to suffer in silence when there are resources at our fingertips.”
Her dream runways reflect her diverse taste and appreciation for artistry: Stella Jean, for her colorful and cultural creativity; Sherri Hill, for her timeless and statement making gowns; and Ralph Lauren, for his quiet luxury and classic elegance. “Ralph Lauren has been my favorite since childhood,” she said. “His collections give elegance and fine living, which I aspire to reflect in my own wardrobe.”
Kekeli is also passionate about breaking misconceptions surrounding modeling and pageantry. “People think pageant girls can’t make a difference — that’s not true,” she asserted. “Pageant women have platforms they use to raise awareness for causes that matter. Another stereotype is that you must be a size 0–2, but confidence and authenticity matter more than size. Lastly, people assume we’re not educated — but there are brains behind beauty. Many of us are in college or pursuing advanced careers.”
Fearless, curious, and full of life, Kekeli describes herself as someone who’s always exploring new experiences. “Not being subjected to the norm is something unique about me,” she said. “I’m adventurous, always trying new things and places. My curiosity encourages others to do the same — it expands my creativity and my mind to endless possibilities.”
With her confidence, compassion, and drive to inspire, Kekeli Fisher-Ekoue is not only representing New York — she’s representing the next generation of empowered women who lead with purpose, intellect, and heart. Support Kekeli and follow her on Instagram @_kelikellz_ .
