Azzurra Tennis Academy is strengthening its position as a growing force in Florida tennis, standing alongside some of the leading academies in the state with a clear mission: to develop every athlete through technique, athletic performance, and mindset.
Led by Valentina Sassi, Olympic bronze medalist, Italian Singles National Champion, and former Top 100 WTA player, together with her partner Arturs Kazijevs, Azzurra Tennis Academy brings together high-level playing and coaching experience with a family-oriented approach to player development.
Kazijevs previously coached Mischa Zverev from 2017 to 2019, helping the German player reach a career-high ranking of World No. 25.
At Azzurra Tennis Academy, players benefit from an integrated development philosophy that goes beyond traditional tennis instruction. The Academy’s coaching team carefully analyzes players’ matches to identify weaknesses, improve specific strokes, develop new solutions, and transform weaknesses into strengths.
The Academy also provides support beyond regular training. Its coaches travel with and support players competing at ITF, professional, and UTR tournaments, helping athletes develop the competitive experience, confidence, discipline, and mindset required both on and off the court.
